Port aventura versus Spain of the present times

Staying in Spain for a few days may leave a visitor with the impression that foreign visitors are a concern of every dealer, businessman or citizen of this beautiful country. They constantly develop series of new animated programmes and club programmes as everlasting reminders of the Spain flooded with sun, shores washed by sea waves, passionate flamenco fiestas, and amusement at a bullfighter arena.

Spanish architects have built a remarkable place of attraction for children and adults, halfway between the Costa Brava and Costa Daurada coast resorts, some 80 km off Barcelona. This amusement park, or in Spanish, amusement harbour, provides in the area of a few square kilometres nearly everything - exotic dance ensembles, Chinese circus, a selection of Disneyland rides. Port aventura is not the first park of its kind in the world, but it is indeed a unique one.

Don't worry if you are surprised by a rain shower. You can buy lovely yellow rain coats, or cool caps, T-shirts, vests, and a number of varied, yet tasteful souvenirs. Ethnic stalls would offer Mexican sombreros, ponchos, scarves or cowboy accessories. There are numerous areas here to take rest, have something to eat, rinse your hands and recharge batteries. Everywhere you can come across commonplace selection of maps, information brochures and ready written or spoken advice available in any language, including Russian.

Also a gold rush history is among the Port aventura attractions. Even a living school museum is here, a true copy of the authentic school, along with a live teacher who will show you exercise books and school utensils, gaining an impression that you have entered not just Spain, but a never ending merry-go-round of limitless history. Follow with a horse ride, historical boat ride, miniature train ride, and then relax in an enormous aviary, with abundance of exotic birds, flowers and plants. You don't know what to do first: take video recordings, photographs, or let be drawn among the fervent and exotic Hawaiian dancers.

The Spanish amusement park is not only a tourist attraction, it also provides jobs, is a place of business opportunities and social contact. The Spanish idea of adding a pleasant dash of nice atmosphere to your holiday can start just here, in Port aventura. The place is a sample of the world excitements, at the reach of your hand. Some people pay fortune to travel the world, those who can't, stay home and just study maps, yet those lucky who get to Port aventura, have the privilege to see the world in miniature, and enjoy pleasures of a hands-on experience. This might be a good idea for Slovakia - wouldn't it be nice to have a place of fun and inspiration?
