Demining machine for military arsenals

The Czech Republic became another country where the UOS 155 demining machine, produced by Road and construction mechanisms (CSM), a.s. in Tisovec. The equipment for a disposal of infantry and tank mines had been earlier used by the Slovak Republic Army involved in Croatia and Federal Republic of Yugoslavia territories during a civil war aftermath. The producer presented this equipment at the defence technology exhibition in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates capital, with several countries interested in purchasing the demining machine. The UOS 155 is an outcome of own CSM' development. It consists of the T 52 tank chassis with a tower replaced by an armoured telescopic top and activating hammering tool. The hammering tool comprises a revolving shaft with hammers fastened to chains. During a slow forward movement the equipment hammers the ground to activate mines. The machine is equipped with twenty auxiliary attachments for general sappers and ground work. The CMS' main production programme comprises universal finishing machines, excavators and telescopic manipulators. The demining machine is a new development promising 500 mil Sk in annual production volume, with 90 per cent exports to 20 countries.
