| Incheba Praha:
Move Heaven and Earth for a Client |
Incheba
is one of the oldest and most important fair companies in the Czech Republic.
Its history started in 1971 in Bratislava. After division of the CSSR the
Incheba Praha was founded. Establishing such Czech representation helped
to avoid administrative and custom problems concerning the trade-fair business
of well-known companies in Prague. Incheba Bratislava along with its daughter
company in Prague organizes more than 50 exhibitions and fairs. Incheba
Praha is member of the International Fair Union, Association of Exhibition
of Fair Organizers of the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic, Czech
Economic Chamber, Economic Chamber of Prague, Union of Industry and Transportation
of the Czech Republic. This interview concerning the Incheba Praha was
given to us by press spokesperson Margita Holubova.
Incheba Praha is the only exhibition company on the Czech market with 100 % of foreign capital interests. The other companies are domestic. Don't you find it as a disadvantage?
During the last eight years it turned clear that it doesn't mater if the firm is Czech, Slovak or let's say Swiss. Conditions for all of them are the same. What really does mater in such business is activity, intelligence and good marketing. The prosperity on one hand or stagnation and extinction on the other hand depends solely on people working at the firm. The success may be measured by satisfaction of the employees: what are they willing to sacrifice and how far are they able to identify themselves with the company aims and tasks. To put it in different way, the question is if they are for instance willing to sacrifice their leisure time if needed - which during fairs happens fairly often. Probably this is more important than the nationality of the workers.
Would you mention some remarkable successes?
Exactly one year ago we have achieved a tremendous success, since our company organized the Congress of UFI - Union of International Fairs, a world-wide, non-political and non-profit organization seated in Paris. It indeed was an event of a world importance. Prague was visited almost by all top representatives of fair business from all over the world. The UFI doesn't belong to such organization one may join simply by paying membership dues. Basic criteria for picking of members is the quality of their participation on events and the quality of fair arrangements conditions. Only after exactly specified conditions the fair may use the UFI logo. Incheba Praha have in the international calendar two such fairs - PRAGOTHERM and PRAGOMEDICA
